Home and Away star Samara Weaving has admitted that she got into acting because she was extremely shy as a child.
The actress, who plays Indigo Walker in the soap, explained that her parents encouraged her to attend drama classes to increase her confidence.
“I was really shy as a child and, because my family moved around all the time, my dad thought it would be a good idea to put me into acting to bring me out of my shell,” she told the Herald Sun.
“I hated [acting] at first, but then it became something I absolutely loved and I can’t really think of doing anything else.”
Speaking of upcoming storylines on the show, she added: “Ruby has her eyes on my boyfriend, so that’s always cause for trouble, I guess. The River Boys come. They ruffle some feathers, but I’m not allowed to say much about them. They look pretty badass, though, with tats and things.”
